How do we build the best variable frequency drive (VFD) for our motor?
In the age of arduino and many other easily accessible microcontroller platforms we think it is a shame how most VFDs are difficult to program and to update.
We will not use a ATMEGA like arduino but rather an ARM processor as those now became cheaper and more powerful than ATMEGA microcontrollers.
Plus we believe that a servo drive should not be more expensive than a VFD that just changes the speed of a motor.
Through open source we want to change these issues.
